Topic2: All DC residents ages 16 and up are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. DC Government employees, contractors and volunteers who are DC residents are called upon to pre-register for a vaccination appointment today.
Maryland and Virginia have also opened vaccine eligibility to their residents ages 16 and up. DC Government employees, contractors and volunteers are encouraged to pre-register with and get vaccinated in their state of residence.
To pre–register for the vaccine in your state:
- For DC residents, go to vaccinate.dc.gov or call 1-855-363-0333.
- For Maryland residents, go to covidvax.maryland.gov or call 1-855-634-6829.
- For Virginia residents, go to vaccinate.virginia.gov or call 877-829-4682.

Topic3: Need assistance paying rent and utilities
Renters and housing providers can apply for rental and electric, gas and water bill assistance at stay.dc.gov, Applicants can call the STAY DC Call Center at 833–4–STAYDC for support throughout their application process, Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm.
Back Rent – funding can be used to pay rent going back to April 1st, 2020
Upcoming Rent – Money can be used to pay forward rent up to 3 months at a time.
Utility Expenses – Water, Gas and electric expenses can be paid on behalf of yourself.
Extended Support – Housing support is available for up to 18 months, per tenant.
Topic4:
Construction will resume during the permitted hours of 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday with Saturday work as needed. Cars will need to be removed by 9:30 a.m. where restricted parking signs reside. Flaggers will be on site to help residents with access to the street as needed. Work will be covered with steel plates after hours. Construction is projected to end on 1100 First Street over the Summer. These timeframes are subject to change due to weather and permitting requirements.
